Making more time for what matters

How can I stop wasting my weekends?

"Wasting the weekend" usually doesn't mean nothing happened - it means the weekend was full of chores, admin and scrolling, but nothing that felt like it was actually for you. A busy weekend and a satisfying one aren't the same thing, and it's worth being careful not to fix the wrong problem: the answer usually isn't cramming in more activities, it's making sure a little of the time is genuinely intentional.

A useful habit is picking one thing on Friday, before the weekend starts, that you're actually looking forward to, even something small. Having one anchor like that changes how the whole weekend feels, because there's something to look forward to rather than the weekend just happening to you.

It also helps to protect that one thing the way you'd protect a work meeting - put it in the calendar, don't let admin quietly swallow it, and treat rest itself as a legitimate way to spend some of that time too. A weekend doesn't need to be productive to not be wasted; it needs at least one moment that was actually chosen.

How 365ALIVE helps

The Today screen in 365ALIVE is built for exactly this - one small, chosen thing, so a weekend has at least one moment that was intentional rather than just full, and it gets kept in My Museum afterwards so you can actually see it added up.
