Finding things to do nearby
The usual advice - "just try lots of things" - is right but unhelpfully vague, because trying things takes time and a bit of money, and most of us don't have unlimited amounts of either to spend finding out we don't like pottery.
A better approach is low-commitment sampling: look for a single class, a free taster session, a walk with a local group, or a one-off event before signing up for anything that requires buying equipment or committing to a term. You're not choosing a hobby yet, you're gathering information about what you actually enjoy versus what sounds good in theory.
It also helps to think across categories rather than staying in one lane - movement (walking groups, swimming, dance), creative (a pottery or art class), social (a book club, a supper club), and outdoors (foraging walks, birdwatching, wild swimming) each scratch a different itch, and you may not know which one fits until you try a bit of each.
Go Explore in 365ALIVE deliberately mixes categories - movement, culture, nature, food, wellbeing - so you can sample a genuinely different kind of experience each time rather than defaulting to the same type of thing, and save whatever actually lands with you to your Life List to go back to.
